The 2025 Back-to-School Bash was an incredible example of what can happen when a community comes together with one purpose, supporting our students and preparing them for a successful school year. Beyond the Walls Outreach was honored to host this event in partnership with the Sherman Police Department.

The long line of children and parents waiting for school supplies showed just how important this event was to our community. Families patiently moved through the line with excitement and gratitude as more than 500 backpacks and essential school supplies were distributed.
Behind every family in that line was a child preparing for a new school year and a parent working hard to make sure their child had everything needed to succeed. This moment was a powerful reminder of why Beyond the Walls Outreach, in partnership with the Sherman Police Department, continues this work: to ease the financial burden on families and help every student begin school feeling prepared, supported, and confident.

School supplies for the event were funded through proceeds from Sherman Police Department drug seizures and redirected toward making a positive difference for students in our community. These funds helped provide essential school supplies and backpacks to children who needed them.

Together, we distributed more than 500 backpacks filled with school supplies to local students. Every backpack represented more than notebooks and pencils, it represented encouragement, confidence, and a community that believes in its children.

One of the most powerful sights of the day was the long assembly line of volunteers working together to organize, pack, and distribute school supplies. Every person played an important role in helping the process run smoothly and making sure families felt welcomed

Our volunteer barbers generously gave their time and talents to provide free haircuts for the children. They did more than cut hair and they helped students feel confident, encouraged, and ready to walk into school looking and feeling their best on the first day. We sincerely thank each barber who poured into our children and helped make the day even more meaningful.

Our 2025 Back-to-School Bash would not have been possible without our incredible volunteers! From assembling and distributing backpacks to serving food, directing families, assisting vendors, and making sure every child felt welcomed, you showed up and served with love.
Your time, energy, patience, and dedication helped us provide more than 500 backpacks and school supplies to students in our community. Every smile, helping hand, and act of kindness made a lasting difference.
On behalf of Beyond the Walls Outreach, thank you for believing in our mission and helping us prepare our children to begin the school year feeling confident, supported, and ready to succeed. You are truly the heart of our organization, and we appreciate each and every one of you!

A special thank-you goes to Tyson Foods for sponsoring hamburgers and donating school supplies. Their generosity helped us provide families with a delicious meal while ensuring even more students received the materials they needed for school.
Our vendors added even more excitement to the celebration. Families enjoyed refreshing lemonade and fresh fruit while supporting local entrepreneurs. Their participation helped create a fun, welcoming community atmosphere.
Thank you to the Sherman Police Department, Tyson Foods, our vendors, volunteers, community partners, families, and everyone who helped make the 2025 Back-to-School Bash successful. Because of your support, more than 500 students began the school year better prepared and knowing their community stands behind them.
Beyond the Walls Outreach is committed to continuing this important work, reaching beyond the walls, strengthening families, and building a brighter future for our children.
